Shoot-Friendship

What is friendship? How would you define it? A favorite, companion, like-minded, mutual, long lasting, amigo. How do we capture something visually that we would normally describe with words? This is your goal with this assignment. Capture in a photograph what you would consider to be 'friendship'. Use chapter 7 as a guide for what to look for when you are shooting. Be specific in your photo selection, and or cropping, think about the 4 hierarchical categories: informational, graphically appealing, emotional, intimate. Be sure to get all the information you will need for the captions! Have fun!

Shoot-Campus Life

For our first shooting assignment, we are going to start off just getting into the photo groove. For those of you that are new to photography, I want you to begin to see through the viewfinder. Evaluate the scene, the lighting, the action, your angle, and composition. Be a connoisseur of light!

Your subject for this shoot is Campus Life. That can include just about anything. I am not looking for the classic NNU shot in front of the water fountain. Find the candid shot of campus life that happens elsewhere. Be mindful that this should be creative and appropriate.

Your shooting theory on this assignment should be angle and composition. Your reading assignment is chapter 1. Experiment with that overall shot, medium shot and close up.
Happy Shooting!
