Shoot-Environmental Portrait

First let me just say, that you guys are doing a great job! You're blogs are looking very nice! Good work!
Our next two assignments are going to be portraits. Read chapter 5 for great tips, images, and direction. Expect a quiz on Thursday!
Here is what I'm looking for. A portrait of 1 person or group (if they belong together, ie: band). This is NOT a candid, we will do this next week. So, make sure you understand the difference. This portrait should show us something about the subject, what they are like, what they like, who they are, not just what they look like on the outside. Do your research, this will make it a more successful photograph.
Some tips, go with natural light, stay away from florescent lights, very bad, and direct flash not so great either. I find it is sometimes easier to work with people that you are comfortable with, so grab your best pal and go to the park, or sunset in downtown Boise... Shoot a variety, and until you get that perfect image.
Buena suerte!
